Light from Light

At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person.
Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.

Circle of Life

Circle of Life
October is in the air, the fall leaves change the face of earth. A cool breeze blows the leaves around and piles them near my door. Then, in silence, comes the misty fog. Earth prepares to sleep, and all around turns quiet, hushed to summers noise. Squirrels rush to stock for winter, they dash their tails and chatter. Geese fly south. Formation changes as they row the wind. Sun breaks thru and glistens on their wings. Their calls pierce the silence. Seed fall from the trees, the cones give up their fruit. Pods contain the future growth that comes with rain in spring. The circle of life, complete, yet is unending...
